“Dans Hi, AI, l’Allemande Isa Willinger observe les tests, le formidable déploiement scientifique, les conférences d’experts, le sentiment de contrôle… Il reste néanmoins dans son long métrage une large place pour l’incertitude. « It’s ok to be imperfect» dit un robot à un humain. Mais ce dernier peut-il lui répondre la même chose ? […] A partir d’un postulat basé sur la certitude scientifique, Willinger accueille le mystère à bras ouverts. Le ton du long métrage est étrangement doux-amer, un mélange d’espoir naïf et de fêlures assez émouvant.”
